Hey Guys,
I have a 2000 KH Verada with the 3.5L V6,
Just had my transmission serviced and while it was up on the hoist they showed me a decent size oil leak coming from the back of the motor ( side against the firewall)
Car has 146,000 Km's
I believe the leak is coming from the rocker cover gasket.
Any ideas what i would be up for to have the front and rear rocker cover gaskets changed plus spark plug seals and engine degrease?
Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced decent Mechanic in Sydney Parramatta area.

I lived in Northmead for many years until 2 years ago.
There are two that I have had personal dealings with and can recommend for their "no nonsense" and fair manner.
1. Samsung Motor Repairs. U7/ 23-25 Windsor Rd, Northmead 9683 1045
They are Korean and specialise in Hyundai, but the job you describe will be quite happily done.
(Next to this is one of the better exhaust shops in Sydney for fair price and workmanship.
Performance Exhaust Center. Unit 6B, 23-25 Windsor Rd, Northmead 9683 5688)
2. XB Automotive. 41 Mary Pde, Rydalmere 9684 1206
(V. Good for Auto Electrical as well)
(Not open Saturday from memory)
Don't ring for a quote, just go in.
Whoever ends up doing the job(either the above 2 or someone else),
please report back with the outcome/cost so that other members will know.

I use South West Automatics: Automatic Transmissions - Terminus St, Liverpool NSW 2170 (02) 9822 5069 Owners Name is Peter genuine bloke my boss put me onto him and ive been using him for the past couple of years,
I didn't have any issues with my Box just routine service $150.00 incl gst
if its just the rocker cover gastkets, can you try and do them yourself? very easy job but if its the rear gasket the plenum can be a bugger the first time.. mal sells the kits for 40.00 single or 80 both banks... got to order one of him myself soon..
many videos on youtube show how easy it is :P

Yeah have been thinking about it, ive just never done gaskets before and don't want to **** it ,
ive just brought 2 gasket kits from ebay ( Genuine Rocker Cover Gasket Kit Mitsubishi Magna) $79.00+post ( Spark plug Tube seals included)
3 NGK spark plug for the back row
and a set of NGK leads
Might watch a few videos and give it a go this weekend.
just make sure you put platinum plugs into the rear, really dont want to have to keep screwing around with the plenum if dont have to

You actually got aftermarket tube seals with genuine gaskets, is in the description of the item. The gaskets are not an issue when using aftermarket provided you use a decent quality one like Permaseal or similar. We sell complete Permaseal kits for $70 a pair including post
