View Full Version : is there a plug on the bottom of the fuel tank on a TS?

Cars going to wreckers and want to get the 30L of fuel out... any suggestions? Ive been told theres an anti cyphon grill...

nope no drain hole i know of --if its being wrecked

use its tank pump to empty below the/pump sender --remove that- and syphon out the rest into jerrys

one to try--- look from 6:30 the guy stuffs about - @8:00 you bridge the fuel pump relay to make the pump work

don,t be a girl .. make a hole in the bottom of that tank to get the fuel out faster

Its a shame that this car is in Victoria.

Not that long ago I was looking for a fuel tank for my verada KS.
It might be the same design for these 2 versions of the same car.
That is 1 hole for fitting a single bracket to hold the pump and sender.
Ditto for sender unit and pump.

Lol trust me, you dont want me trying to punch a hole... itll be a disaster!

Why not use the fuel pump test plug in the engine bay?
Just hook it up to battery +ve and the pump will run.
Or remove the harmonica hose on the fuel tank filler neck and you can get a decent syphon hose in past the "anti roll over valve".
Need to do that last bit anyway to get at the last 10 - 20 litres of fuel.
