Hey all, there's a 3rd gen status about the life of a 3rd gen atm, and I'm just curious as to how well the All Wheel Drive components stand up against the rest of the magna reputation for solid strong bits.
Currently have 128,000k on my car, but the first owner was a rental car agency

If you don't drive it like Chow did, about as long as a regular Magna

Mine's done 300,000 without any major problems. First owner was Thrifty Rent-A-Car.

The AWD driveline was based on the Evo 6 platform, and pretty solid. Originally the parts were built in Japan, but then Mitsubishi Australia purchased the tooling to manufacture the AWD components, built them at the Adelaide plant, and then sold the AWD components back to Japan.
Mine was doing some fairly heavy duty towing before I bought it last year, with just under 200,000 on the clock. Although the suspension and front CVs were shot, the rest of the AWD components were fine.
No issues and going on strong at 135K kms from new and I don't nanny it either. Tippy all the time and have towed quite heavy trailers as well.

Mine's done 180,000km, including nearly 27,000km towing a van. No problems so far. I do have extensive auxiliary cooling for it, though. See: http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103402&p=1604814&viewfull=1#post1604814

Like the others say, they should last the same as a normal magna
