G'day everyone - first time poster (with little mechanical knowledge) looking for some advice. :)

I have a '94 TS Magna Executive (wagon). Rego is due in a month and right now I have 2 blown front parking lights (plus I think a high beam might be gone too - have to check).

Is there any easy way to change them without actually removing the headlight? My father once changed the lights when he had a '92 TS Magna around a decade ago and he said it was a pain in the neck but recalled he found a trick but couldn't remember what it was (he admitted he might be mis-remembering though).

Thanks in advance guys. :)

It seems tricky because of little space. Do it with good lighting so you can see. :: (facing engine bay from front) left : it may help to remove wiper water tank, and battery if you wish, for more room.

On left and right : Pull off the connectors, they can be a bit stuck.
Roll back the rubber boots.
You can now see the clips etc necessary to remove and replace bulbs. Should be easy now. Try not to touch the glass of the new bulbs.

Connect up again and reset clock if battery's been off. (It's generally a good idea to disconnect battery when doing stuff)

edit add : if not removing battery, just disconnect negative (left, look at terminals, there's a + and a - next to them.

The bulbs are held in place with a wire spring clip. depress the curved bit on the wire spring clip. The bulbs will come out easy and go in in one way only. Have a good look at the setup and you'll be able to identify bits easily.

The park doesn't have a metal clip. just pull out rubber connector after rolling back the rubber boot covering headlight and park. It seems hard but it's not. Just get thumbnail under rubber and grip other side and pull/wiggle.

Thanks very much for the info. My father is visiting this week and has a bit more technical know-how than myself so will wait for him then have a go using your info. Thanks again. :)
