Hey Guys, have'nt posted for a While,so here we go
Has any1 else encountered this on their 3rd Gen'z?
It is infact a Very slow leak, but has bothered me for a while now, also my Father when he got his Wagon Serviced, has apparently had oil leaks more frequently, and the Mitsi service guy Reckons the TH's have Oil leaking problems around the 200,000 mark
My TH has had this for a while now,and i got a quote for $450 to get the Cam seals and Belt Replaced(From Kalamunda Toyota)
This is at least $100 cheaper than from anywhere else, including Mitsi, who are infact way dearer. And also, who has had their Plugs changed from Melville mitsubishi also, besides Blake,As i need an Exact Figure for this job,Plugs,Labour,Everything.
Cheers Guys,in advance

If its just the oil sump thats leaking take it off and get it welded by a professional works nicely and will be more stronger than it was as well. :)

Whats leaking? Just your oil sump?

If thats the case then its a simple 30 mine replace gasket job, or if it doesn't use a gasket then it just needs new silicone liquid gasket applied. Easy as pie bud, you could do it yourself even.

Yeh,it's leaking from under there, very slowly, but i was told by toyota that it's the cam seals that are gone on it,and should be done pretty soon(oil might be leaking on the Timing belt)
not the cheapest of jobs either.

Check that oil is actually leaking form the cam seals as they are at the top of the motor. (take the timing belt covers off)

Otherwise if its just the sump then thats a quick job and wont cost you much at all.
