Im soon going to be replacing the rocker cover gaskets on my GTV, so I figured I may as well give her an oil change as well, mainly as I simply dont know the age of the current oil

Decided on Penrite HPR10, ive done no research on available viscosities, my question is this

My car has 267000km on the clock, given the age of the engine, will the standard 10W 50 be the viscosity of choice?

At 380000+ after a decoke, flush ( I put 3l oil to 1l kero for a drive to heat everything up, drained it, ran clean oil for a week or so, drained it (get about three filters ) and now use 3l 10-70 with 1l enhancer(whicjh is just to nurse it along till I rebuild a spare engine) the front cam seal, oil pan, rocker cover gasket, which is all cheap and easy to do. I should have done it at 280000. Things start wearing out in different ways then on. Keeping up all fluids is a must.
