I just brought a second hand standard cd player out of a 2001 vrx. Does anyone know what is the power output of these?

Could it handle 400watt 4way 6x9s in the back and just some basic 4inchs in the front?

Sure can, but expect it to give each speaker about 15W RMS max... probably only 10W RMS.

Not sure on the exact specs, but I know my factory 6x9s have a sticker on the magnet proudly claiming they are 20W speakers. I hope that's a continuous power rating :D

hehe yeah i realised it needed a security code before i tested that it worked. Emailed the guy i brought it of and luckily he remembered what it was.

Don't care to much if it couldn't handle fronts aswell coz i won't be buying them for a while and may just get a new aftermarket mp3 player then.

yeah it will handle them fine.
