I have a KF with a manual seat that i'll be swapping with a power one. I havn't checked yet but i'm going to assume I don't have the plug already in place for the power seat. I have the connectors ready to go just need to solder and run some cable. Question is where would be the best place to put it? Should I tap into one of the existing wires. Or if i'm running a new one where to?
Ideally i'd like to just wire it into one of the wires that already runs along the drivers side conduit, but I don't know if it's safe to do so, not sure how much power the seat would draw.

You pull the centre console out and under where the cupholders are there is a spare plug, It's screwed in on a bracket. Just run the wires under the carpet.

It is essentially a constant live feed, since the seat can be adjusted with no keys in the ignition

What wires come off this plug? I can always check them with a multimeter, but if you know the colors or which wire is responsible for what then it would save a bit of time

Pin 1 is constant power (15A) red/black wire
Pin3 is ACC (15A) Blue/White,
pin 2 is earth - black
pin 4 is solid blue and is the mute wire in the factory harness.

That's the handset plug, right?
If you have little kids around, wire the seat to the ACC power. Kids just love to play with the power seat when you are not watching. lol

I wanted to wire it to ACC power in the first place. It's done now, found the black/red wire, and ran my own earth to a ring style crimper that sits on the bolt which secures that harness connector. Super easy to change over to the blue/white which i'll do later on.
Are those 2 wires fused? and which fuse corresponds to the black/red and blue/white on that harness?

Speaking of the mute wire, how does one actually utilise its intended function? Do you ground it? I think I may actually use it with a mod I'm preparing...

Wait, people still actually use the stock head unit? I'm shocked....

I used my sub wire to power my seat.
