Hi all, my brothers TS V6 got quite hot yesterday on a trip, the temperature gauge was sitting on normal but when we pulled over there was smoke coming from under the bonnet, oil had sprayed on to the motor from maybe the dipstick tube and the exhausted manifold was extremely hot, the car had started to loose some power before we pulled over, so the motor itself had not overheated but exhaust manifold was extremely hot as it caused the oil on the upper part of dipstick to smoke, anyone have any idea what can cause this to happen? cheers

Exhaust systems do get hot, glowing red hot in the dark in fact.
Doesn't sound like an overheating problem, but if oil is spraying from the dip stick tube there may be problems with the crankcase building up pressure.

False alarm, all is good, think my brother just over filled it with oil, I find in many ways the second gen Magna/verada is a better built car then the third gens, steering feels better and the V6 is much quieter than the one in the 3rd gen, plus the second gens have better vision when parking, more glass area at the rear, only thing better about the 3rd gens is the motor has more power.
