View Full Version : Brainstorming - Diamante Series 1 Foglamps in TS Magna Bumper

Just toying with some thoughts regarding fitting fog lamps to a TS magna. Not really a fan of the stuck-on look of some of the cheap DIY kits, but really like the look of the Diamante Series 1 front bumper with the integrated fog lamps either side of the lower radiator slot:

My chances of actually coming across a Diamante bumper are pretty slim, especially down here, but does anyone have any opinions or recommendations regarding fitting the Diamante fogs to a standard Magna TS bar?

I realise there would probably be some fibreglassing required to square up the curved outer edges of the lower radiator slot in the TS bumper where the fogs would sit, and obviously the cutouts to do cleanly too. Diamante fogs come up on eBay fairly frequently and I'm sure I could get a TS bar from the wreckers with no trouble.

What do you think? Brainwave or brainfart?

Diamante bumper is the best plan

now with a lot of second gens being sold/wrecked ....off chance with a Diamante bumper fitted .

.chances are getting better... of finding one ..asking price unknown

even a repairable one may be an option for you

or a new zealand contact would help --- kiwi trader or their ebay
Found this wonder if they ship to australia ?

modifying a TS front bar worth a go

Verada XI headlights would be a good start to freshen up the look.

I agree - the actual Diamante bumper is definitely the better solution, but I've personally never seen one down here in Tas, either being driven or trashed at the wreckers. Might try my luck at the NZ site you've linked to.

Not too adverse to the work involved in getting them to sit right on the bumper. I'm more concerned if there are other implications I'm not considering. Eg, the curve of the fog lamps doesn't match the TS bumper, mounting points of the TS bumper may interfere with the fitting of the fogs in the Diamante locations etc.

Verada Xi bumper is an option (and I know where one is wrecked at the moment) but I'm not as keen on the oversized bumper on the Xi.

For rough comparison. Ignore the lowered number plate. The place for its fitting is the same.

The metal bar under the plastic is above where the fog lights go. There is nothing behind there, so plenty of space.

Heh, neat! May not happen of course, but it's good to see a rough idea what it might look like - thanks

I'm actually looking to sell the car which has been posted in a couple of photos. I'm not sure if it's an option for you but if you're not looking to buy a new vehicle there is a chance you could buy the bumper itself as I have the original TS bumper which came off my car.

Not true you just have to find the right sellers. I have a Nissan dealer in Utah sends me stuff regularly a dealer in California that sends me BMW car stuff as well as one in Oregon and that sent me a fully assembled set of front forks for a bike as well as half a motor.
Most will ship if your happy to pay and even if shipping is expensive it is still alot cheaper and quicker.
Waiting for them ex Japan or germany from your local dealer can be slow. Eg recently needed BMW 7 series tailshaft CV joint. Ex germany as none in Oz about 6 weeks wait. Got one from German dealer direct 7 days with DHL Total cost $250 Vs $685 locally. Customer was very happy!!! Vee
