Hello everyone!

I have (finally) taken possession of my absolutely gorgeous 2008 Platinum Edition 380. One of the things I want to do is put seat covers over it (seats look nice, but the gray patterned threading in the center of the seats is showing a bit of wear).

I have encountered a problem though.

How do I take the rear seat bottom out to fit the cover and make it look nice? Most cars I have owned it was simply a matter of giving a sharp upward tug to get the latches to release, and then slide it out and up. This one doesn't seem to want to let go of the seat, and I'd rather not break anything.

Does anyone have experience with pulling the back seat out? I would greatly appreciate any advice/help I could get. Supposed to drive up to the in-law's for Xmas eve and day, and want everything to match and look nice.

for the seat base just push against it a bit then yank very firmly.

the upper section needs a 12mm socket to remove after lifting the base.

Awesome, thanks! I should have figured it was similar to my 3000GT's removal, with the push then pull method, but had actually forgotten that until I saw your post. I just need to get the base up to make the cover secure to it in a manner that looks good. The top one will tuck in and then I'm good to go.
