View Full Version : Face:Feet climate control air ratio adjustable?

Small quirk of mine, but I find that the amount of air thats directed to my feet when I set it to both face and feet is well... piss poor. It's barely even noticeable even with thongs on. Passengers can't feel anything whatsoever. However when I set it to feet only it's a lot of air and enjoyable for both front and rear passengers, except my face is melting in the FNQ sun

I'm assuming a cable or some such has stretched over time and not splitting the air flow as it should. Is there a way to adjust it so more air is directed to the footwells?

It's a KF Verada btw

I have the same problem with the climate control in the KJ. Anyone know of a fix?

I cant seem to stop the airflow through the centre vent. Even when the aircontrol is set to 'feet', hot air blows through the centre vent. I thought there was a problem but a fix was too hard to arrange cos the console has to come out??

Close a few of the top vents, crank the fan up manually to max, push the recirc. button, lower the temp as far as it will go. When your feet freeze bring the temp up slowly, or back off the fan speed.

If you get hot air from the top vents, there is a problem with the flap that directs air through the aircon section while blocking off the heater. You are getting some hot air from the heater mixed in with cool air from the aircon evaporator. It's buried in the dash so it would be a bit of a job.

Blocking off the water flow through the heater core may be an easy option. If you are in FNQ, you probably never use the heater anyway.

Rumpfy, the right-hand centre console vent has a control for fresh (outside) air or heated/cooled air. If it's set to fresh and the outside air is hot it could give the effect you mention.
