I am wanting to change my interior light in my KJ Magna to the Reading map setup light.
My question is, I want to put the Reading light in the front but will I need to replace the roof lining because of the molded lining the was from the donor car.My KJ lining does not have the lining where the new light would go.

If your donor car has the roof lining just transplant it to your car. You will also need the loom from the fuse box in the drivers side footwell. Take off the A pillar trim (plastic running from roof to dash board) and you will see the wires from the loom.

I replaced the standard TH altera interior light on my old wagon with the larger Verada style one and all I needed was a sharp stanly knife to cut out the cardboard hole a little larger for the bigger light. It just plugged into the old plug as well.

when i did it from the small one to the larger home link light we just cut the headlining with a very sharp razor blade. When you do it from memory you also need to change the bracket in the roof over and also the wiring loom which is no big issue either from the donor car
