Can somebody drop me a link to the right memory minder to purchase please?

The transmission learning sequence in my car takes days and I want to avoid this issue the next time I disconnect the battery.

I've googled memory minders but I'm still unsure which one I'm after.

Thanks in advance.

just get your self a a lead to run from your battery into the cigarette light socket that should do it no problems and save you some dollars as well

Depending on how long you intend to take the battery out of the car for, you can actually do the same as tania suggested with a 9 volt little battery that you pick up from coles or safeway, it can hold charge in the memory for long enough (few hours) to get a service or what not done.

Of course make sure the car is on accessories when doing this.

Okay, thanks.

I can just get an AC plug with alligator clips, connect it to a battery, plug it into the car, turn ignition to accessory and disconnect the battery.

Google did come up with everything from one end of the scale to the other- from $300 professional systems to YouTube videos on how to make your own.

My concern was that I might have the battery disconnected for some time. At this point I'm thinking of using a spare car battery I have to keep things alive while I dick around with the battery out of the car.

That, and I didn't want to melt my ECU.

exactly but make sure a fully charged car battery is used to be safe and make certain the accesories are switched on and not turned off as this will cut the power flow off, Doing this wont melt your ECU

would this apply to a 380?

I believe this applies to almost any car so I don't see why it wouldn't work in a 380 but if I'm wrong someone will surely tell me so soon enough

yes no problems it will work on almost any car as it is just supplying power back into the system basically. Something that none of us mentioned and i have only just thought about it is make sure the positive cable is taped up so it doesnt short out against the body work some where
