Hey guys, i am thinking about buying some BMW LED COB Angel Eye's, i'll post the link below.

I have the 2 piece Glass paras and i was wondering how to go about removing the glass to install them, is it just the same as the plastic 1 peice or do i have to do something different?

Cheers!

Yes it's the same as the one piece.

Yes it is the same, but I would also like to add that the actual size of the parabolic lenses is actually different between the one- and two-piece headlights — the two-piece lenses are ever so slightly smaller than those in the one-piece lights. Both types use the same 131 mm rings, but this means that it is harder to get the "full ring" effect with the two-piece lights as the outer section of the lense will tend to cut off more of the light at the edges. From directly front on, you might get a bit of a circular U shape rather than the full round circle, but they work well from an angle. This is a "problem" (not really a problem, still damn sexy) I have with mine. You'll just have to keep working at it until you get them looking right for you.

I dont know why but i think i'd actually prefer the 'U' shape, looks a bit meaner in my opinion (Y) Cheers tho guys!

I went and took some photos anyway, just to show how it could end up looking for you. They've been taken at level-ish with the lights (what other drivers see) and at full standing height (what you see close up when out of the car). I have no idea what I am doing with cameras, so I played around with the settings to get the angel eyes looking something that is akin to what you see in person, true trial and (lots of) error, although the rest of the photograph is too dark. Unfortunately I can't get both at the same time; use appropriate light and the angel eyes are washed out and look overexposed. At least the rings look similar to what they do in person, but the photos definitely do not do them any justice.

Thanks Mike for posting those up, they exactly show the comparison I was talking about. Now this thread is perfect to show others for future reference.

They look great man! I totally get you with the photos tho, i get it all the time with the white and black contrast on mine. Photos never do it justice!

And so what do you guys reckon on the link i posted? Are they the right ones to go for or is there a better set i should get? (still keeping it around that price range tho)

One thing to keep in mind is if you are using the opportunity to install projectors and HIDs, you are better off using the 2 piece paras because the 1 piece paras can yellow from the additional light output.

Having said that, I don't think angel eyes alone would be bright enough to cause such an issue.

Where did you source the angel lights?
