Where abouts are the jacking points for the car located? I've looked in the repair manual but I can't find the location on the actual car that matches the diagram.
Cheers guys

If you are using the standard jack, the points marked with a double notch on the body seam are used.
Make sure the opening on the jack head is along the seam, if you feel behind the seam at the notches you will find solid body work there, all the weight when jacking is actually on that solid bit, not the seam itself. If you get it wrong, the seam simply collapses.
These points can also be used with a hydraulic jack, but you need to position the head of the jack on the solid bit BEHIND the seam. Get it wrong, and the seam collapses.
Not a fun job restoring the bodywork and seam to original shape if it is done wrong. Ask me how I know . . . lol
Another place to avoid is the floor pan itself, or any of the channels under the floorpan. Put a hydraulic jack anywhere peoples feet would be (on the other side of course) and it will bulge upwards by 5 to 7 cm. Again, not much fun to fix.

So it turns out I was a bit stupid and looking in the wrong places. I was looking behind the mudflaps and feeling for something but it turns out it is in fact inline with the mudflaps.
I used one of those hydraulic pump jacks and because the car was so low and the floor was so hard it became a real pain to keep pumping the car up >_>
