How hard is it to get a good panel between the taillights? Most I've seen are not too good

Chances of finding a perfect one at a wreckers are fairly slim as the plastic is so old now.
I just took a look at mine. The one on my carby TP sedan is missing its self-adhesive, striped trim strip. The matching strips are also missing from both tail-lights. The plastic is also crazed from age and for some reason I had to add a couple of self-tapping screws in the middle to hold it securely in place. The one on the efi sedan that I currently drive is near perfect but one of the tail-lights is missing its striped trim strip.

I call it a rear garnish
make a slight change--- make it up with a full LED panel
