Where did anyone who has a dash and/or floor mats get them from? I looked at the cheap garbage in the usual places, some of the online stuff appears to be of a passable quality, but i'm more inclined to pay for higher quality. I had genuine mats in the last 380 and they were great but i wouldn't think there would be too many sets left in stock now, and lets be honest, the cheap dash mats will only leak fumes in the heat and make the inside of the windscreen look like you smoke 2 packs a day in the car (which might not be too bad if you have shares in Windex).

Has anyone bought from these guys? http://www.customcarmats.com.au/380-c-40_196.html

I got my dash mat from Supercheap, never had a problem with it. Good fit and no fumes.
I got the floor mats from the local stealership, genuine OEM mats, last set they had, going at 1/2 price. But that was 6 years ago and you'll be very lucky to find new OEM floor mats anywhere these days, let alone those embossed with VRX.

Comparing these to a pair for an auto - they'd be wrecked by cutting the top off, and you'd end up with the over-locking unraveling. It wouldn't be a pretty sight. They look great with the blue embroidery though. Maybe i'll start hitting the stealerships to see if there's a pair sitting in a dark corner somewhere.

I did manage to find a reverse parking sensor kit in the Electro Blue for $299. How hard are they to fit? Is the loom fully wired as standard?

Also, why does the main pic (of the advertised floor mats) show different mats to the other pics?
Different embossing (380 vs 380 VRX) and different shaped mounting clips.
Even if they could be used on an auto I wouldn't take the risk.

Just dropped down to the local dealership in Nambour, spoke to the spares guy there who seemed intrigued that someone would be seeking a set of mats that have all been discontinued. He searched away and came up with 4 dealers in Oz who all show a set of VRX mats in their inventory. Time to get ringing.

I am surprised they even looked for you, normally they just give you the rude 'mate they've been discontinued for X amount of time' and don't even bother looking

Nah, this guy is pretty good really. I've asked him a couple of questions before and he's always made an effort to get me the answers. He wasn't busy so he was probably happy to have something to do.

I also found out there are still 40 factory bluetooth units in Sydney and that the reverse parking sensors came out in 10 different colors but they don't have one in my blue and that the loom is ready to have a set plugged in.

All in all it was a very productive 45 minutes :woot:

Back in the day when I brought my genuine VRX floor mats, I got them from Bill Lilley's Mitsubishi in Queanbeyan NSW. They cost $120.

I got my dash mat from a local auto shop cheap, does the trick, fits lovely. Can't smell it?

I found my mats inside of a smashed KF, I took them home and spent basically a day cleaning them with a sponge, detergent, hose and carpet cleaner. They stank of cigarettes and were full of sand, took so much bacteria killer to get them smelling nice.

When i initially bought my old Platinum in 2010 i was trying to drive out of the dealers yard in Coldtoria and my feet were slipping all over the place because the clown who "detailed" the car had covered the rubber part of the drivers side carpet with armorall. I went back into the showroom and told the salesman and he started to explain that it would wear off eventually, so i raised my voice to a showroom full of customers and got a full set of mats for the inconvenience. Ain't gonna happen this time.
