Guys, has anyone put in any of the non-genuine units from fleabay? I did a search and i found one thread but it didn't say too much and there doesn't seem to be anything in the DIY section either. There are an abundance of kits around the $25-50 mark. How hard are they to fit? Are they accurate?

Some of these kits come with displays:

Considering the factory kit costs $300 if i can get something a bit cheaper that works accurately i'll give it a go.

I used the first type on Camry I had when working in UAE 5yrs ago. No problem, worked fine

Came with dedicated hole saw to drill bumper. Took a couple of hours to fit and wire up - mostly the lead to the indicator thru the cabin etc

Thanks Terry, appreciate the feedback. It looks like they're all plug-and-pray so apart from finding the 12v supply it should be easy as hell.

I'll just need to go through the loom diagram to see if the 380 has a 12v supply line near the back end.

Cheers mate,

sean

I was going to say why don't you use the 6 sensor which will help you more when parking in parallel parking but while trying to find it on e-bay i came across this new product in UK which does not need to drill the bumper....but don't know a lot about them...something to consider if you want...

The 12V comes from the reversing light so auto on when you select Reverse?
