Hmm, I was checking the ATF level today as it was flushed yesterday.
The new ATF looks very clear on the dip stick with only a fine red tinge to it and its hard to read the level.

Anyhow, I had it idling in neutral on a flat surface after a run and it was showing at only the min level, so I thought it was low, but I left it idling for a few minutes and then it showed a little over the max level! Looked like 4 or 5 mm over. Did this several times to be sure.

It seems the ATF needs to settle for a few minutes before the reading can be made. Luckily I checked it again otherwise I was about to add some.
I dont think a few mm over will cause any problems.

Had similar issue when I did a fluid change on my TF. First time I'd done a change so wasn't sure. Did what my mechanic said and let it sit and and level was fine.

I've given up trying to read the dipstick. Check it for colour once in a while though. lol

I find that due to oil flowing one side of the dip stick always shows higher reading, flip it to the other side and should give you accurate reading.

Yeah, I noticed that. I think that side contacts the filler tube wall.
The dip stick has a weird shape.
