First time I have been aware of a replacement window regulator failing in the down position.
Rear passenger replaced 2 years ago failed in the down position.
Probably used 5 times max in 2 years!

Older Chinese made replacement part? Newer ones are made in the USA I understand, supposed to be better quality?

My Drivers rear Window Regulator failed yesterday dammit! Ordered the part from the dealer & propped it up with a piece of wood. It pays to shop around. I got a genuine one for $90 some were as high as $140.

Electric windows on Magnas don't seem to fail as often.
Maybe Mitsu put the 380 ones out to tender and accepted the cheapest (too cheap) one?
What can you do though, just keep replacing until you find a good one.

True, my magna has had no problems but the main switch is a different story. should have been a recall of these for the 380

Yes, I've replaced 6 on the two 380s in the family. They were all Chinese originals. Replacements have been Galant parts for years now (US). I've had none of these fail yet. Electrically the 380 does have a few minor issues. Nothing major like Astras and the like.
