Hi
Just wondering what performance mods people do to their magnas?
I have a TL LS 03, i'm bored of my other cars so keen to do something to my magna.
Anything decent you can do engine wise?:facejump:

If you're looking at engine mods, just drop in a 6G75 and be done with it. It's pretty close to cheaper (especially in the long run) than a 200k kms major service and takes about as long.

Yeah mines due for timing, 211,000kms it just hit. Healthy engine though.
What do you reckon it would cost to do that?

I don't want to guess but it'd be over a grand. Mal might comment soon and he will be able to give you the answers you're looking for.

As Tim said 6g75 as for the price of that you won't get anywhere near the performance gains on the standard engine.. Also my personal opinion but manual all the way, much better power delivery then the auto and more fun.. Just a quick note my car 100% standard TL manual ran a 14.9 1/4 mile, and with just a 6g75 conversion and exhaust now runs mid 13's (and with better tyres) VERY big difference

Straight through rear muffler, extractors, manual conversion, 6G75.
Wouldn't bother with any performance mods that weren't on that list imo.

Did you guys ever work out what these engine swaps would cost?
