Hi all

Recent downpours in our area and stinking hot days meant that I got caught out with the windows down to cool the car when I went inside the house ...

Interior of car got wet, side of seats etc lot of moisture in the car, when I went to hop in the car this afternoon all the dash lights were on as if the car was not recognising I had removed the key.

Don't go off if I lock the key and are now on.

Is it a fault with the ignition that I can fix or something else ?

there is a recall on the light switch.

sound like you have a short circuit with water somewhere, I would say disconnect the battery and get a hair dryer and try to dry up the ignition barrel, the wires behind the plastic of the steering, also the internal fuse box and see if it helps...

...otherwise all i can suggest is to take it to a car electrician to have it checked
