hey, i've got this annoying problem in my car. the front suspension is noise as a nighclub, whenever my car drive through a rough road the front suspension is making a lot of noise, like having a worn shock/bushings, sometimes making a knocking noise as well

i had the whole front suspension done last year, new shocks, springs, swaybar links, tie rods and bushings. the only thing left undone was the front strut mount. can this be the cause of my problem? thanks for the help.

It certainly could.

But, I had a similar problem on a MkII Golf. No one could work it out (they weren't very bright) until it went for a roadworthy and failed because the front damper was bouncing around insde the strut. The thing was held in by a screw down collar which had bounced up a couple of threds, thanks to my rockhard new springs and shocks. So yes get the strut looked at. Also keep taking it to 'specialists' until one finds the problem.
