Well my VIN numbers don't tell me on either of my cars.

The most reliable way without writing down and deciphering a VIN is to have a look at the engine number. Looking straight at the engine from the front it's underneath the front head where the engine meets the gearbox/transmission. It should say 6G72M or 6G74M or even 6G75M if you're really lucky. lol
