Hey Guys,

I am playing with the idea of a kit, dunno just yet. The 2 I am thinking of if I decided to get is are the Sports wagon kit which has been extensivly covered and the one pictured below.

I got 1 quote to get it fitted and spray, it retails at $1290 and after fitting amd painting it was almost 2.5 Gs

I might shop around and see what I can find with the price of fitting/painting and maybe contact an mates uncle (panel beater).

What do you think...

Im not a fan of the bunbury kit or whatever its called, it just looks weird.

I really like the sports kit though. Especially on wagons

that front bumper is completely rediculous... doesnt suit the lines of the rest of the car.

It looks like a bumper somebody stole from a piece of crap i saw at www.laughatrice.com

dont do it mate...

Isn't that the Ylverton kit or whatever it's called?

Don't like it at all.

Just looks wrong

I'd get parabolics and a verada grille before i go buying lego man. Would look good on your black car aswell and you wouldn't have to fork out $1300 for it them either. I would just get your skirts painted black and your car would look good and still wouldn't be up to $1300.

As you can see from this current pic of your car I reckon a) parabolics, b) verada grille, c) colour coded skirts would benefit it. Actually I would also get a black license plate with white writing for $165. Would look awesome. Here is a link to the WA license plates etc http://www.dpi.wa.gov.au/licensing/plates/slimline.html. Would maybe get clear Lancer side indicators too. So that's roughly $600+$120+$165+$70 = ~$950 and your car would look hot!

I was thinking something along the same lines. It really doesn't blend in with the rest of the car

none of you have the slightest clue whatsoever...everyone here saying it looks like lego, how many of you have taken the time to see this kit in person before passing judgement?...

dont write something you dont know off, its an awesome kit, and in the flesh i rate it above the vrx kit by a mile, take the time to have a look @ it in person and ull see what i mean, its a stunner, massive head turner, way better than the sports kit

we had this kit (unpainted) temporarily clipped onto my car and omg the difference is amazing, and it suits it perfectly, yes i agree in the photos it doesnt do it justice @ all, but in real life. omg its soo different, and way better

Inxay does have a point, pics don't always do justice...

I'm still undecided on exactly what I think, at times I think the front bar doesn't blend in, others times, i like it.

Next time I am down south it would be interesting to drop in and see the kit...

I've seen it in the flesh and while im not a critical person, there is something not quite right about that front bar.

But still its different, and will appeal to some.

I have the genuine mitsu sports kit sitting in my spare bedroom, and I can say it is a quality product, and all the extras they give you to fit it, like all the spare nuts and bolts, adhesives and alcohol wipes etc, plus wheel arch flares, all that for $707, I know who gets my vote.

And fit the thing yourself you punce. :D And save yourself some dough for other mods.

chill mate. ur entitled to ur opinions .. fine ... but other's can have their say too.

the pt of the thread was that ppl were asked to comment on the kit ... and the only available means of doing that is by photos ... & u dun have to get all heated up if ppl dun reckon it looks good.

i personally dun like the front bar but the rest of the kit looks great. i have seen a photo of a white verada with the kit and that was bad either .... guess it should b a little smoother round the edges ... all my personal opinion

what rear wing do you have currently? or are you fitting one with the sports kit?

imo and experience the VRX one looks sexy as with the sportskit

The sports kit is a more sophisticated look to that fat fronted "Bunbury" kit.

Personally I'd rather trick up the engine first as I'll take performance over looks anyday - that's more cos a decent kit would get destroyed in the conditions my car has to put up with.

Take a chill pill dude. We're entitled to our opinion and you have no right to tell us we have no idea.

We saw the pics, we formed our opinion based on what we have in front of us. Sorry not everyone can go and see one in the flesh. If I could I would. I'll make sure to spend the time to hunt down a kit that I dont like the photo of so I can pass judgement next time.

ixnay mate - get off the drugs, youve got to be joking.

Your opinion is yours, my opinion is mine, lets leave it at that.

and for the record - this kit blows - or the front bumper more so..

I dont need to see it in person to see that it doesnt suit :D

He Guys, chill out... Too much heat for such a simple topic.

Yes, Inxay didn't have to get soo pissed off but come on guys, chill.

Chief, I think you have a great idea, I don't think i can justify spending as much money on a kit, plus with the lowering and my drive way it can be quite "tight" as it is with out another few cms taken out of the equation.

-Parabolic Head lights are already on my list (after the extractors, which are next), just have to chase down some at a decent price
-Verada Grill, I like the ralliart version more. Thinking about modifying my current grill and see what ideas we can come up with...
-Gotta get a quote to fix my back bumper so i will get a quote to spray the grey skirts at the same time
-Already thinking on custom plates but don't know what to get on them, your spot on with the black plates and the paras

Obviously you are one of the designers of these kit? Or know the person who designed it to be so defensive.

Ive seen the website, ive seen the pics from different angles.. it looks crap.

Differing opinions doesnt mean we dont have a clue.. By the look of the vote its you who 'doesnt have a clue'

I'll be honest, I don't mind the side skirts and rear skirts, but to say people don't have a clue about that front bar is just plain funny. It does absolutly nothing for the car.

not gonna waste the readers time with a paragraph about why this, why that. the bubury kit is a shocker. It was boulay who designed it wasnt it? lol

ps. your fitting and painting charge was too much. Sideskirts 200, rear pods 100, front bar 300.

I think that front bar has too much "chin". It looks a bit like Tim Webster when he pushes out his chin. I remember when Eric Bana used to take him off on whichever comedy show that was, and this front bar looks like that.
