Just got back from a 1 week trip from Penrith to Brisbane via Putty Rd and New England Highway and noticed a clunking noise under brakes and right hand turns when I got to Brisbane, it wasn't real bad and the car still drove extremely well through corners etc.
When I got back home the clunking was worse so I called my mobile mechanic and had him do an inspection on the front end. He found the bolts securing the alloy crossmember a little loose and rattled them up with a 3/4 rattle gun and the clunking has gone. Not sure if this a common fault but thought it may help others.
