Has anybody had fitting issues with Dobinsons springs ? I have fitted Dobinsons VRX springs C43-082 on the front and looks ok, but the C43-083 are sitting too low. They then sent out another set from a different batch (with me having to pay the freight) and these are the same height with the same amount of turns or coils !! With the coil fixed in the strut I can still move it and they sit a good 2 inches lower than the standard VRX springs originally fitted to the car.
I have a bit of space between the tyre and front guard as is normal but the rears, the tyres are level with the guard, so won't be any good with a trailer on and 3 kids in the back !!
Has anybody else had probs fitting rears ? All I can think of is that they have been mislabelled and are the lows and not standard VRX or is my TJII VRX a one off prototype !!

What height are they meant to be and have you measured the height it's actually sitting at? Also the amount of coils on a spring has no relevance as to how low a spring is

Their catalogue does not say how high but their rep says that VRX is a little lower than standard and he reckons the spring height is correct but it is a coil short but then they send me the exact same spring with the same amount of coils !! The height of my car at the rear from centre of hub (wheel) to bottom of VRX Flare is 33.8cm .
Weird?? Something's not right there!! With all springs out of the car, do both sets of rear Dobinsons sit at the same ride to each other and then maybe 10-15mm lower compared to the standard VRX springs? If so, then you shouldn't be much, if any lower in the rear over used VRX springs.
If not, then you maybe correct in that the springs were mislabeled by Dobinsons as VRX when in fact, they are Lows. (Lows are around 60mm ride height drop from standard magna which seems to equate to what you're seeing post fittment in your VRX).
As good as Dobinsons are (I have Dobinsons VRX fitted all round in my AWD magna with no height/clearance issues), it wouldn't be the first I've heard of Dobinsons having mis-labelling issues or batch issues.
I'd be taking pictures, measuring the spring heights & emailing the pictures & details to Dobinsons, demanding they crossreference the part/batch codes & and request that they send you the correct part at their expense & they send a courier to collect the other 2 sets at their expense.
Hope you get it sorted trainman.

Bit of a side question. Do they sit lower than your stock Vr-x suspension? The catalogue says it is 30mm lower than stock but I know a Vr-x is only 10-15mm lower than stock..so theoretically it should lower your Vr-x 15-20mm??
That is correct, but taking into account the sag from old/worn springs means that in reality, fitting the Dobinsons may not actually make the car sit much, if any lower.
