View Full Version : Ralliart 6G72
Is there someway of visually identifying a ralliart 6g74 (the 180kw version)? Some guy is selling a tf magna that's had a 6g74 swapped in and he says its the ralliart version but I only have his word for it. He sent me this pic http://i.imgur.com/ppzcJf2.jpg. Does that pic prove anything? If I obtain the engine number will that identify which one it is?
Cheers.

Picture is useless. You could check the engine number with mitsubishi and they might be able to tell you.

Number might tell you what car VIN it came out off, or if its a crate motor.
But how will you confirm if its got the right highlift cams, ported heads, Ralliart headers & Ralliart ECU mapping... without ripping it open to check?
It doesn't even have RALLIART sticker on the cover! :P

Buuut it does have the ralliart sticker on the back of the car. He definitely moved it there from the engine cover :p
Thanks guys. I'll wait for him to give the engine number and go from there.

Why would you change the throttle body and not transplant over the cruise control? has to make you wonder what parts of how much of the Ralliart engine got put in. Could easily just be a VRX or sports motor and they are calling it a "Ralliart" engine...

You need a hell of a lot more than just a throttle body for the cruise control... that's why.
