Hi all, I have a TF Magna and disconnected the heater just after I bought it as it had the usual leak from the core. The car is ok but its not really worth pulling the dash out and fixing it as its done almost done 300,000 k's, I was wanting to know has anyone one bought a decent heater of ebay etc to replace the original, I bought one off ebay last year for $35 that plugs into the lighter but its not real good, I have seen other ones for around $135, anyone bought one they are happy with?
Cheers

I doubt if any electrical heater would have the same output as the original heater.
You won't be able to run a 2.4 Kilowatt heater off your car electrics.
But it really depends on how long you plan to keep the car.
Dress warmly in the coming winter and junk the car soon or fix the heater? Your choice.

I don't expect one to work as well as the original just something to take the chill off the air on a cold Bathurst winter night, I will be keeping till something major goes wrong with it like the transmission dying etc

Maybe you can buy some seat covers that have heaters in them too?
