Hey guys, about a month ago I bought myself a 01 KJ XI Verada and as usual it had the common problem of the driver side power window not wanting to go up, I have had this problem before and fixed it by pulling the unit apart and cleaning the contacts, I was doing this procedure today and when I went to test it I didn't realise one of the rear window toggles had come off and was shorting the loom...I only noticed it when the loom got warm, I unplugged the unit immediately but it has done something...or rather I have done something.....the power seats no longer work nor do the power windows/sunroof, I have checked all fuses with a meter and they are fine, my thoughts are that it maybe uses a thermal cut out for protection....can you please advise me here??....I hate the idea that I have damaged something...would appreciate your help.

I managed to find the culprit, luckily for me I have the full wiring diagram, it was a fuse after all....little square fella under the hood....phew all work perfect now, I will be more careful when I service the power windows in future :)

I bought a TL wagon last year as a project work car and the windows did not work because the switches were broken so I bought a new switch and they still did not work. It was around the same time that I noticed the seat did not work either, ended up being that same fuse under the bonnet.
