Morning all,

Been scouring the web (and searched this forum) trying to find out the different interior trim colours that 3rd gens came with. My TH advance has the full dark grey interior, and I know latter models had the two tone, upper black combos but haven't been able to fingure out if they ever came with full black interiors.

Any help would muchly appreciated

Cheers!

Closest is the tl/w vrx, but they use the Window switch in the centre console so you you would need to re wire your car. Best of dying a set of door cards

KW GTVi had the all black interior and used the power window switches in the door.

I originally posted that KJ/KL GTVi were all back, but they aren't, they had grey lowers. Never mind me... lol
I second Wiggles' option of dying the door cards, if done properly they look fine.

I did originally say KJ/KL GTVi were all back, but they aren't. Never mind me... lol

KJ GTV was black over grey, KL GTVi was black over light grey.
KW GTVi is the only black interior with power window switches in the front doors.
TL VRX and TW VRX are all black interior but don't have power window switches in the front doors.

Thanks guys.
Was considering the dying option, but think would probably end up having to do entire trim dash because
Of different shades between factory black and dye black.

Also not entirely sure how well the dye would stand up to daily abuse.

Cars that came in all black interior

KW - GTVi AWD
TW VRX
TW VR

I have dyed an interior before, I ended up replacing it wit the correct colour as unless it is a dye with a sealing compound over it, it won't last. Every year or so you will be touching up the high wear areas. On the dash, which is foam backed plastic, it will crack and peel.

Happily, for a black dash, get any Verada XI, and nick the dash from it. You can colour code the little part next to the glove box (as no one touches that part), and the rest is actual black, not dark grey.

Yes, i forgot about the VR (both TL and TW), don't forget the TL VRX on your list.

Also, not quite correct that you can use any XI Verada dash as not all Xi dashes are black over grey, some are dark brown over light brown as well ;) You could use a TJ VRX or Sports dash to do as you suggested. Pretty sure the TH Sports dash is black over grey as well?

As for the op, without dyeing anything the KW GTVi interior is the only one you can use as it is the only one with provision for the power window switches in the front doors. For the rear doors you can use the TL/TW VR or VRX rear door trims but you will need to re-pin the switch wiring as they are different to the earlier models.

The black over grey seems to be rather common, might settle for that.
Not big fan of the window switches in the middle.

I believe most are dark grey over light grey.
This appears somewhat black due to the contrast but compared to the actual black upper dashboards it is clearly not.

Does anyone know if the dash and interior plastics are professionally dyed, would they suffer the same wear and tear issues as a DIY job?
