Hey
I know it's probably typical question about it but i can't find any help online.
I'm wanting to convert my whole TL to a verada pretty much,
Interior, from carpet to dash trims, to seats and more.
I've seen on carsales some veradas with lights in the rear pillar trims?
Never seen it before, probably hard to find the parts?
Q1: Would they go straight in the TL , any existing plugs?
Q2: Verada map lights plug straight in or need a new loom?
Q3: Exterior chrome door molding, is it sticker or clips? (on my ve its sticky so thought id ask)
Q4: Is there any other little feature that verada has over standard TL LS?
Probably silly questions but i just wanted to ask before i go buying parts or a wreck or set my tl on fire with wiring haha.
Thanks guys!

Anything can be done with time and money.
Wiring harnesses differed between models and options ticked at time of build.
Q1: Rear C pillar lights are there because of the sunroof. From memory there are no plugs there on a non sunroof equipped car.
Q2: Not sure, but I think that could be plug and play????
Q3: Exterior door mouldings are both clips and adhesive.
Q4: Verada has chromatic interior and exterior mirrors, Door panels are different as the Verada has power window switches on the doors, so door harnesses are different, both front seats on Verada are Powered, so again different harnesses.
If you want a Verada you would be probably better off buying one.

Totally different cars, to be honest you are better off selling the Magna and getting a Verada if that is what you want
Everything from Window Switch position to trim is different, different trans, TCL etc etc all different.
Not saying can not be done, have done myself similar jobs on many occasions BUT is it worth it, now days for the price of a KL in good condition, no it is not worth the time or the effort.

In the TL/KL series,
Verada didn't get much more than a magna.
From a Magna LS to the EI Verada:
Power windows on the door trims (door looms, floor loom, probably the main instrument loom change)
Power drivers seat,
Power chromatic interior and exterior mirrors,
Sunvisors with lights and mirrors (roof loom required)
Different map and room lamp with c pillar lights
different BEM with fade interiot lamps.
Fog lights,
chrome side strips and door handles
Blackout cluster (plug and play in a magna)
different boot lid and rear lamps
Better Audio with dash top speakers.
The XI added,
leather trim
power passenger chair
sunroof
boot carpet,
drivers door switches for fuel and boot release (requiring new loom)
flocked trims for the pillars.
That's really it. If your car is a low klm example, I would investigate buying a write off verada and simply swapping parts. This is a cheap method.

Thanks guys, great answers just what i needed :)
Yeah i know it's probably not worth it, my friends keep telling me but its more of a settlemental thing, i remember choosing the car with my dad when it was brand new
(i liked the colour haha) (i was in year 2 i think)
Yeah i'm planning on finding the right model wreck in pickles auctions then switching everything over, and selling little things that are left from verada and obviously TRY and sell the tl parts.
Thanks again guys!!
A bit too late now but should have bought my KW Gtvi AWD in the exact same colour for $6K with 138K KMS on the ODO.
As others have said, not an easy job. Buy a wreck and then strip your car down.
The door chrome trim is only a glue-on job with knobs as alignment guides. I know that as mine fell off two weeks from new. Glued them back on myself with better tape. Easy things are like the black out dash and chrome grille.

I get the sentimental part, but you will end up with a magna with leather seats, plus then you'll have a wreck in your front yard that'll take ages to get rid of. Sounds like a very costly process for a car you can buy for 4k

If you need it, I have one chromed front grille from a KL Verada (can't remember which side). PM me if you're interested.
