Hey guys,
My car has a slight pulsating feeling on acceleration around 1,700-2,000rpm.
It is very faint but it seems it is there.
All filters are new, as are plugs, leads, serviced injectors, distributor button and cap.
Car has 201K on it.
Any ideas of what this could be?

Auto or manual?

CV joints were the problem on my TF at around 250,000 ks. Felt like I was going over very small corrugations when accelerating.

Auto KJ2.
The issue is it seems to be more rpm related than speed related which I thought would rule out the CV joints?

My wagon does something similar, similar revs, at about 50-70kph.
No vibration per se, just a thrumming pulsation. Goes away when you take your foot off the accelerator. Seems to be coming from the driver's side.

Does it happen in neutral as well? And you say you have 201K. Did you just do your timing belt?

It doesn't seem to do it in N though I haven't really tried. It is more obvious one some days than others. Today for example I couldn't pick it.
And yes timing belt was recently done

Probably engine/transmission mounts then the extra load under acceleration is probably letting the rubber of the mount flex - the drivers side one usually goes first but there are 3 others as well.

Could it be a fault in the distributor?

Get the transmission flushed properly. I had the same thing, infact it was quite violent. Yes like driving over corrugation, would just sporadically happen for a second or 2 then clear up. Would only happen at constantly throttle but if I let off or gave it more power it went away. Got transmission flushed and its been fine since

Transmission has also been flushed recently

Does it do it at a certain speed or gear? Or is it every gear at those revs?

It's too faint to really tell, but it feels like it is rpm dependent and not speed dependent
