Tonight I decided to finally get my auxiliary input to work now after putting it all together the car wont start, when I turn the key I hear a click and all of the electronics die and the car doesn't attempt to start. This happens with or without the radio being hooked up now, what could I have done? Blown a fuse? Or worse?

My first thought would be you have flattened the battery? Especially if it does it every time you turn the key.

Yep, most likely flat battery.

By all means check your fuses and fusible links, but probably a jump start or overnight battery charge will get you on your way.

How long were you fiddling? A fully charged battery should keep a radio running for many hours (or even days) though if you have booster amps or something it will drain faster. If it was only for a couple of hours it could suggest your battery is a bit dodgy or maybe isn't charging fully. Unless you had lights and other accessories or ignition on?

What a coincidence, :noway: I was going to post a What can it be??" but then I saw the light. Literally saw the light I mean. I spent an entire day cleaning out a plethora of unused and unwanted wiring from previous owners who had Amps installed. It was all under the carpet and neatly routed through the firewall etc, so it was almost entire interior out day in a KF XI and not once did I give any thought to how many lights were on and draining the power. Coupled to this, just when I finally complete the head unit wiring and turn on the navigation system, almost a 7" LCD screen, everything goes black with the most subtle popping sound. Fear invades my mind, thinking I have just blown my new combination system and this in turn evolves into frustration as I slowly realise nothing is going to work.:coffee: So, I start by re installing the rear seat back section when I notice the C pillar lights are the faintest yellow glow. Like a bolt from the blue, it dawns on me, 8 lights have been on all day as well as my on / off time with the head unit, the poor bloody battery was near to drained. A mate called round, jump started my car and a quick drive of 60 km and all is good again. Oh, yeh I did get the whole rock show working too.

Never take it for granted, Lights will drain your power, damn you Verada lights.:bowrofl:
