Hey everyone,
I'm installing a reversing camera and I need to find the right wire for the reversing lights so the screen will switch to the camera view. I need to find the right colour wire. Does anyone know which one it is? I found the right fuse but can't get behind the back of it.
thanks

Wiring diagrams label the wire from the reverse switch as Red/Blue from connector "B26" for the manual transmission, and Red/Blue from the inhibitor switch connector "B27" for the auto. Both connectors are located on the transmission bodies.
There appear to be other intermediate connectors that the signal passes through on its way to the tail lights, but they may be harder to get at. Depends whether you have a sedan/wagon or manual/auto.
You cannot use the reverse fuse as that is always active as it is before the switch. You will have to find a connector in the kick panel that carries the reverse +ve and use that. I know this because I couldn't use it on my old KW and wife's ZG Outlander. If you cannot find one, then just go to jaycar and get the auto 12V cable (which has a red and a white wire inside a flat black shield) and run it to one of the reverse lamps. Just have to feed it from the boot into the C-Pillar area, down to the door sills which can be removed and all the way to the dash area.
