I am thinking of installing two amps. A four channel amp under the drivers seat, to run the speakers in the door and the rear 6x9. And then an amp in the boot to run what ever subs I get, as if I ever need to upgrade I can change the amp and subs easy.

I have two power cables already both 8 gage with a fuse (I got another amp kit of a friend who sold his car). Should I just use these cables to run two amps? or should I get a distribution block?

Also should I put the amp under the seat? or some where else in the boot?

Do I have to remove the seat?

I just don't want my friends kicking my amp or have the seat hit the amp when I have adjust it.

thanks peoples

Its cooler to have two amps in your boot with your subs. If u have time, build some kind of simple boot install, amp racks or something. With regard to the wiring. If you were to run a dist block but u should consider 4 guage wire, coz of the current draw of the two amps.

U could ditch the dist block idea, if you want to run two 8 guage wires through your car. Up to you really. Since I'm a tightass, I'd do the two power cables and take some more time wiring it up.

When you open my boot and have a look to your left, I have a carpeted MDF board, cut to shape that just wedges in nice and tight. I then have the 2 amps flush mount there, keeps them out of the way and looks neat.

-If- I do the rest of the work I want done to my stereo later down the track I will then do a fake floor but thats another story.
