Guys,
Will Evo 7 wheels fit on a CJ ES? (love these wheels)
Both are 5 on 114.3, M12, but are the centre bore and offset compatible?
I've seen photos of them on a TS Magna, and photos of CJ GSR wheels on a later Magna, so it seems likely(?)
If not, will hubcentric rings be required/available.

They will fit, but 17s look tiny on CJs in my opinion.
I'd be hanging out for 18s.

Thanks,
17s will certainly look better than the factory 16s on it. Bought the factory "lip" boot lid spoiler for the subtle effect (and to cover up a bikerack accident)
Got 18s on my wife's GSR. See my previous thread on paint colours for guttered 18" wheels.
None of the EVO7 17s I've seen show much gutter damage.
I assume there's just enough bag in the tyre, or enough offset to protect the spokes.

Tried the Evo7 17s on the GSR hatch and it looked pretty average. Dark colour (red) and side skirts (high sides) made the wheels look small compared with the factory 18s.
And probably I was used to that "all wheels" look with the 18s.
Put them on the gold ES and it looks 100% better, probably because it's an improvement over the 16s, and corners like it's on velcro.
$450 well spent compared with the Bob Jane specials (for 2-3 times that) the boy was looking at.
One day I'll learn to post photos.

Glad to hear it worked out, they'd be sitting a bit more flush than the originals too. :)

They fill the arches nicely, without being silly.
Slight increase in offset (from 46 to 38mm - still legal in Queensland), and a bit of an increase in rim width.
All-in-all, a good result. (until he finds out how much replacing the tyres will cost compared with the 16s:))
