Hey Guys,
I think some bastard has tried to bust into my car and as a result the drivers side lock ctlinder is buggered and the key wont turn at all, is it possible to swap the cylinder from the passenger side? Or are they different and reversed?
Thanks

Could you fix it on your own?. If so replacement kits are like $40

Does this $40 kit mean that all keys are alike ?
Yes the lock barrels can be swapped over. Leaving you with my problem of a stuffed passenger side door lock.
I was thinking of just replacing a second hand rear door handle with the front one so there's no lock visable.
Will the rear handle fit ?

u could always go for a complete Solex replacement package. I think they are pretty dear tho, but they replace all the lock on your car with security type keys. (The round ones with little notches in 'em)

Ah yes Solex yes. This is how I break into my neighbors Torrie when he locks the keys inside.
Take a Bic clear plastic ball point and a lighter.
Heat the open end of the pen until it becomes sticky.
Place into Solex lock to make impression, wait to cool.
Turn lock open door. Great security... NOT!
