Hi everyone,
Had the Free adey for a couple of months now and all good, great highway muncher.
Just wondering if anyone knows the CD drag co efficient of theses cars.Random I know, just wondering how slippery they are.
Also are all motors consistent with power outputs?175kw?.Mine is stock but does seem to be healthier than that.

A quick Google search says 24.9 drag coefficient per sq ft for 380.
Yes all engines were the same despite different luxury/sports models (except that supercharged TMR of course).

Wow,24.9
That would make the 380 one of the slipperiest cars on the road.Haven't heard anything about its aerodynamic prowess.Could be one of the reasons its such a good highway vehicle.Thanks.

Source? 24.9 sounds way too low for a car like the 380.

I found this on the 2004 Galant - which as people know is a very similar body
"With a modern, uncluttered design, the Galant's sculpted exterior sheet metal helps the vehicle achieve a 0.31 drag coefficient. This number compares favorably with other examples from the midsize sedan category. A low drag coefficient helps improve fuel economy and performance by reducing the wind resistance that the vehicle must overcome at highway speeds. In addition, the Galant's windshield molding and side mirrors are designed to reduce turbulence, create less wind noise and offer superior management of water flow which improves visibility in wet conditions."

0.31 does sound more like it,The wife's TW looks more aero but probably isn't. The 380 does have minimal wind noise and gets good highway economy.5th gear cruising at a 100 is at unbelievably low revs though.

Maybe read it wrong, but article seems to say 24.9. Unfortunately I wouldn't know if that was good or bad anyway.

According to that page 24.9 is the frontal area (in square feet), not the CD.
It doesn't show the CD, and neither does any other web page I have been able to find.
But 31 sounds about right to me.

I found some info ages ago when I was setting up my "Dash Command" OBD app
I have recorded Area is 2.31 sq m (= 24.9 sq ft) and CD = 0.29
I don't recall where I found it or if I used US Galant numbers
