Hi all, I want to purchase a KL/KW Verada AWD on gas, just wondering what are the pros and cons with these cars, are the 5 speeds autos reliable? I know they are heavy on fuel thats why I'm after one running on gas, any problems with these cars running on gas? if anybody has owned one please tell me of your experiences, cheers

Don't own one myself, but if you find one that ticks all the boxes buy it without hesitating.
As for reliability of anything on a car . . . there is only one way to find out! (Buy it and use it, obviously! lol)

I know that the stupid vbulletin search function can't find results for "LPG", as I have tried myself a few times.
But here is a 3rd gen. thread titled "Who here has gas?" with 290 posts:

vBulletin search sucks the proverbial. Jump on Google and enter "site:http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums" and then your search phrase instead.

Deano, I have a KL Goon on LPG and it's running fine.
If the engine/gearbox are the same so I assume any laties on LPG are a good example to go by.

I have a 2005 AWD GTVI. It has injected gas. On a trip to Mount Gambier we did 600 Kms on a tank of gas (65 litres). Just done a round trip from Geelong-Adelaide-Mount Gambier-Geelong. The car runs beautifully. I had some early setup issues with my gas conversion but all fixed now.

I have a KL AWD, and it has 381,000 klms on it. It runs exactly like it will do another 300k kms.

The total price was $3500 and I received a $1000 rebate, so $2500. I paid about the same for my Pajero a couple of years ago. The Pajero is not as good for economy but it runs very well.
I also own a TH Magna with a ring mixer system. It gets over 500 Kms on a long run on 64 litres of gas. Very happy with all my cars performance and reliability. The Magna has done 454,000 :)

I keep forgetting my wagon's donut tank is smaller when I see people getting 500+ kms out of a tank of LPG. The most I've squeezed in was around 55ltrs.
