Just filled my KR with some oil, as you do. Checked the dipstick as i was filling it and there is no reading on the dipstick, i stopped filling it with oil as i discovered the dipstick wasn't giving a reading. There is no light on the dash indicating i'm low on oil, and there is no sign of a leak as my driveway is clean as concrete should be. Anyone have any ideas, i'm afraid to drive the car not knowing how much oil i have left

It taes a little while for the oil to settle down. Don't overfill it. Wait a bit.

There is no light that indicates oil level. There is a light that stays on if you have no oil pressure, this happens with about 1/2 L of oil left in the engine. If this stays on your engine will destroy itself.
Don't even start it until the oil level is right!
Needs about 3.5L of oil if you are doing an oil change before it shows on the dip stick.
Fresh oil can be hard to see on the dipstick. And wait for it to drain down. How much have you put in?
Are you topping up or doing a full oil change?

I was just topping it up. I will see how it goes for the time being, its due for an oil change soon, if this keeps up, i'll let my mechanic know about it.

If you are just topping it up with the oil reading off the dipstick, you are not checking it often enough!
When you tell your mechanic your car is using a lot of oil, what do you expect him to say?
I imagine he will say:
"They all do that as they get older. Check it more often."
or
"You need a new engine."
or
"Buy a younger car with fewer km on it."
