Want a really good car polish? Easy on, easy off, even in full sun.
Synpol .... it's German.
Has Carnauba wax .... much the same as Mother's, M-Ron glass etc, only better.
If the paintwork is reasonable to start with, it will give a shine like it's wet.
Not cheap, around $40.00, but a little goes a long way.
Good for paint, chrome, glass & plastic.
I've polished my Magna wagon, Falcon sedan and a caravan, still have half a bottle left.

Its going to depend on the condition of your paint and what you want out of it. Im a massive Fan of the Maguiars Ultimate Compund. Gives it a light cut then follow it by a wax and paint is like new. These are the two i use. I only used these two products with a DA Polisher.

How is the Mothers car wax? Also has carnauba wax in it.
Polish seems fairly unnecessary though, this should be done fairly rarely.
Wax on the other hand should be used frequently

Spetz & King Ego ..
I agree with you both. I said in my post that the paintwork had to be reasonable to start with (as Synpol has no abrasive additives).
It is much the same as the others you mentioned, they all contain Carnauba wax, which seems to be the magic ingredient.
My old TS Magna wasn't too bad when I bought it, but it had been neglected somewhat.
I had some M-Ron glass and Mothers, and used what was left of both.
Went to my local to buy more, he sold me the Synpol ..... I found it better than the other two.
Just thought I'd pass it on, it's only my opinion.

I like that synthetic "Nu-Polish" stuff that's meant to be guaranteed for ten years. It puts a nice gloss on the duco. I also wash the cars I have regularly with Turtle Wash and Wax and that keeps a nice sheen on both vehicles plus keeps the water beading off the paint work. I also treat the windows with Rain-X so my wipers don't skid on the windscreen.

G'day Magna Buff, I did not intend to provoke arguments over this, it is quite simply my observation.
Other forums also have in depth discussions on the same subject, it really comes down to personal choice in the end.
What I can definitely say is, my previous second car was a 1983 Mazda rear wheel drive .... the paint was absolutely stuffed.
With any type of polish, the rag was saturated in paint after polishing just one panel.
Synpol DID NOT produce a nice shine on it, neither did the rag require changing as often.
The Magna has quite good paint, and comes up like new, with a beautiful shine.
I cannot detect any cutting agent in it at all.
Mine is (having come back from the shed with it in my hand) Synpol Super Cleansing Cream.

You will not get any colour on the cloth if you are polishing a clear over base paint job, just built up dirt and grime. Solid colours ( paint without clear over it) will always leave some paint on the rag when polishing as it abrades the paint when rubbing. The synpol cleansing cream is also recommended for machine buff and will have fine abrasives and solvents to clean the paint.

Magna buff, I see no reason at all for your apology, I am grateful that you thought the post was worth an answer!
I can think of nothing worse than posting something and no bugger responds.
Your comments are always welcome.
