Hello,

Just wondering if anyone had on hand the measurement for the height of a rear standard Magna sedan spring? Just the actual length of the spring outside of the strut? Just not at home to measure one this week but wanted to organise an order.

Thank you any help much appreciated!

And the standard spring height for the GTV would be appreciated.

The height of the spring doesn't really matter too much.
If a spring is stiffer it will compress less under the weight of the car hence must be a lot shorter to begin with than a softer spring

Hey Spetz,

Yeah I understood that, but in purchasing a 2.5inch coilover spring at a higher rate, I still need to know roughly what size to purchase to than go about fitting. Since I had to leave home and come to Perth in emergency didn't have time to measure and now stuck down here a while wanting to pick some up but no good if they are too short. If to long can always be trimmed to size (race car).

Cheers

The drop will be stated by the manufacturer though.
Unless I am misunderstanding you, I don't see what difference you knowing the height of the spring would make?

I mean, say the stock spring is 500mm at no load, and a lowered spring is 400mm at no load, depending on the kg/mm of each spring you don't know what the compressed height will be under the weight of the car.
The 500mm spring may compress 150mm, and the lowered spring might compress only 50mm, giving the same ride height just stiffer
