Anyone have a car that has never had the tie rod ends replaced and can tell me if the ends are mounted with the castelled nut topside, joint under the knuckle or is it the reverse.

I just check the manual and it shows the nut below.

I'm gonna install how I found it just in case the toe -in changes reversing it which it had the nut above.;

The seat for the tie rod end is tapered and it should be obvious which way it sits.
