Can anyone advise the correct diameter of inserts for left hand engine mount and right hand transmission mount of 4 cylinder TR/TS models? Various sellers on ebay are showing different figures.

That first one actually IS the transmission mount because the advert says "right-hand" and the pic shows that the bush is offset below centre. However the diameter is not stated in that advert. I think it is the correct part. The pack shows MT8509M as the part number.

Other sellers are quoting differing dimensions, either 91.5mm or 88.5mm diameter.

I don't want to buy a mount. I want to confirm the diameter. The reason is that I think at least one manufacturer has mixed up the part numbers for 1st and 2nd gens. and is stamping 2nd gen mounts with the 1st gen part number 8507N.

I can state for a fact that the correct diameter for 1st gen. TP is 91.5mm. I have an empty bracket right here in my hand. I think the correct diameter for a 2nd gen. is 88.5 mm but I don't have one here to check.

Kelpro mounts cattledog

http://www.motospecs.com.au/assets/files/downloads/Kelpro_Engine_Mounts_Ed9(s)_2014.pdf

page 118 of the pdf

*from magna built after 4/87 they increased the size of the mount to 91.5mm

Kelpro says 91.5 mm for both TP and TR both mounts >>> except TR/TS EFI RHS is 88.5 MT8505N

You Need TM,TN, TP RHS >auto manual > MT8507N
...............................................and LHS is MT 8503N

I have in my hand what was sold to me as the TP EFI offset mount kelpro its packed in a MT8505N

is 88.5 and ... no where near 91.5

branded into the mount rubber is 8508A

Thanks, magna buff. The problem is the inconsistency between various adverts, even from the same seller. For example, this advert: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Mitsubishi-Magna-1991-1996-2-6L-LH-Side-Kelpro-Engine-Mount-MT8506N-/271069707568?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_15&fits=Model%3AMagna|Plat_Gen%3ATR&hash=item3f1d037d30 Here, the diameter is shown as 91.5mm and it is supposed to fit year models 1991 to 1996. i.e TR and TS. Also the advert is for the LH mount but the pic is of the RH mount (note the offset bush). In fact I think the pic. and dimensions are of a 1st gen.mount, so which one would a hypothetical buyer actually receive?

The same inconsistencies are happening with adverts for 1st gen. mount inserts. For instance this advert shows part No. 8507N which is the RH mount for TM, TN & TP. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Mitsubishi-Magna-1985-1991-2-6L-RH-Side-Kelpro-Engine-Mount-MT8507N-/280980070967?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_15&fits=Model%3AMagna|Plat_Gen%3ATR&hash=item416bb7a237 The pic and the diameter of 91.5mm quoted on it are correct. Yet I have one here with the same part number 8507N impressed into the rubber. It is 88.5mm diameter and does not fit the bracket (it falls through).

Because of the way I went about the job, I haven't been inconvenienced but others will be and they won't be happy.
