Does anybody know what thread is used on 3rd gen TL Auto trans drain plug?
I thought I might get a magnetic plug to collect any bits that are circulating with the oil.

Actually, I have not done this yet but what about an inline magnefine, magnetic oil filter in addition on the return line to the trans from the oil cooler?

that would probably get better results in the long run.

Memory getting worse.
Maybe it was and I didn't notice, I've used magnetic plugs in everything I've owned for years now. Even my mate's plane!
Looking at what gets collected they have to be worthwhile.

Never thought of the power steering though, good idea!

I have used the magnefine filters on boths my TL magna & my 380. Quick and easy to fit look on ebay

definitely magnetic and that magnefine is for bot trans and power steer but i was suggesting for the trans but I did have one on a subaru for years on the PS.
