Hi all anyone know where i can get the bush that goes in the manual shift lever linkage as mine is really sloppy when you move side to side... Seems to be plastic the remnants leftover!!!
Or any ideas on what else can be used to fix it? Cheers vee

try a listing for the TR/TS bush ------ first gen may be superseded

how close are you to a wrecker buying the whole stick etc may be an option

Does the setup look anything like this or any part numbers on the shifter assembly? tried getting part numbers from Mits at all?

This image is from an E16A Glant which is pretty much what the 1st gen was based on and from what I see a lot of the bushes used cross over to an awful lot of other models around the world.

When I did some work on my old 94 galant it had a case of the slops too. I ended up replacing all bushes which helped but the bit that made the most difference was the shaft or bolt that mine pivoted on. cost F all at the time from the US for a brand new one.

Don't take these as gospel but I'd be surprised if Mits manufactured an assembly just for magna, cabling is probably unique but the rest is most likely common to the era.

see what you can find out but if these have to come from japan I would not waste my time with the local network, I can give you a site and they'll arrive at your doorstep

Those 6 plastic ones around $6 ea , the pin about $10

Item 4 is expensive $65, so too item 3 at $40 + freight and may no longer be available.

I could not get a transmission part for my 2005 magna from japan.

check this out. scroll down and there's a scanned receipt

in 2010 Toowong Mits charged $20 / bush for a part that's $5-6 today. I wonder what that bush was 5 years ago. May give a clue as to why local may be a waste would be interested to see which way that price has gone.

Yes thats the setup i have in the first generation. What company do you have to get the bushes through??
Looks like the bushes are used in a few mitsubishi models. Cheers Vee
