In due course I might want to get my roof lining replaced (currently held up very successfully by lots of staples).
I've read all the DIY posts and it seems like it can be challenging to get a flawless result, so I'm wondering what the cost of a pro job might be these days?
I've already replaced my upholstery with red and dark grey pleather, and installed bright red carpeting, so I thought a darker roof lining could be a pleasing change: maybe even red?
Anyone got suggestions?

On the same topic... Has anyone done different/custom head lining?
Like getting a Mitsu triple-diamond embossed into it - stuff like that?

I paid $150, that's because I removed/refitted the roof board and sunroof panel myself. Maybe less without sunroof.

[my solution to the linong sagging was to take it all out, take off the lining and the foam and paint it with a greyish mistint from the hardware shop. In between coats I sanded it back. About four liberal coats, one and a half days, 5 bucks. But then I tend towards the functional low cost in all things car]
________
re OP. With those colours, I'd go for a dark grey to black lining.

Not a bad way to go, just painting the liner. I use material from spotlight (pinup board material) and a tub of brush on contact adhesive.
I usually aim for a colour as close to the original to match the pillar plastics.
The cheapest fix is to take the roof lining out altogether, then drive the car like that. When it rains though, expect a lot of noise! lol

I've done a genuine nubuck leather headlining in charcoal on my car recently.
Looks the business as well as having that nice leather smell !!
I bought a genuine nubuck hide & 2 tins of 3M 90 high strength contact adhesive.
It was quite quick & easy to do as I've done magna hood linings before.
