Hi Guys
Sorry to flog a dead horse but got a small problem that would like some clarification on.
Car is going well no major problems just that when i accelerate from stop I get a small amount of shudder then seems to go away after about 40kph.
If you accelerate very gently only slightly a small shudder nothing violent until 40 then seems to go away. It doesn't happen when accelerating on the highway say from 80 to 100 or overtaking so i'n thinking nothing majorly wrong.
Had new driveshafts installed and RHS front and rear hubs replaced as well as a buckled wheel fixed and balanced as well as having all four wheels balanced and aligned with no problem there so suspecting some suspension components involved.
Getting auto tranny flushed and fluid replaced as well as getting oil and filter replaced on tuesday so mechanic will be able to suss out anything wrong engine mounts, bushes etc.
Car is idling rough which I know is common among third gens especially ralliarts so maybe the two are connected though im not sure. Something tells me that it could be the torque converter being worn causing shuddering when setting off though dont know.
Just would like some thoughts, and if torque is the culprit is it replaceable by itself or is it part of the whole transmission and easy to source etc.
Its a S2 TJ Ralliart Auto 2002 with 162K on the clock.
Thanks
